Medication Assisted Treatment
We believe you can attain an independent and constructive lifestyle. Our priority is to stabilize each individual by providing medically monitored treatment, combined with psychosocial rehabilitation services.
We believe that opiate dependency is a chronic disease and can be managed with appropriate medication and counseling.
In our safe and clinically supportive environment, patients can make a positive change in their lives in an atmosphere of dignity and in a therapeutic time frame that is appropriate for each individual. We understand the difficulties of the social stigma associated with being addicted.
Studies show that 70% of patients who participate in treatment for over 12 months no longer abuse heroin or other opiates.
- Positive results will come with counseling and medical care.
- There is no need for interruption from your work, school or family obligations.
- Success in dealing with opiate addiction comes not only from appropriate use of medication, but from your individual commitment to counseling.
- Reducing psychological craving for opiates will ensure long-term success.
- Treatment will improve your relationships with family, friends and co-workers.
- A visit to our clinic can last for as little as 5 minutes.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
There is no specific length of time in a medication assisted treatment program that is best for everyone. The longer you stay in treatment, the greater your chances for success. Some people use medication their entire life. Other people decide to try a completely drug-free approach once their lives become stable.
Discuss this with the clinic staff, so they can plan an appropriate treatment program tailored to your needs. Never cut back on your dose or stop taking methadone on your own, or you may experience withdrawal symptoms and drug craving, leading to relapse.
